Weigh-in day and Jaylon

I lost 1/2 pound! But, hey, that is like two sticks of butter that are no longer clinging to my body in glee! And, though I've only lost 5lbs. in two weeks, I feel so much better and like I've lost quite a bit more than that, so I am pleased. Onward and downward I go!

ANDDD Jaylon turned over for the first time yesterday! Here we go! And we're off! *smile* It is simply amazing to watch them grow and progress. Simply amazing.
He has three teeth...the two lower middle ones and his left eye tooth, which looks kind of funny! *smile* I call him snaggle tooth!
He discovered his hands and feet last week and it has been so funny to watch him just examine them and play with them!

Oh, and yesterday, I had to run some errands for my sister Debbie so Ed watched Jaylon for a couple of hours. Well, the boy decided to do a pooey! Oh my, did he do a pooey!!! Ed telling me about it was sooo funny!!
Well, Ed had put him in his car seat to let him watch Tigger and Pooh and this is where Jaylon was when he did the pooey but when I got home he was asleep on our bed. Sooo, last night when Daniel came to pick Jaylon up, he went to put Jaylon in his car seat and it was a mess! There was pooey on his car seat liner which I hadn't known about because I didn't use it yesterday and Ed didn't know that that had happened. Anywayyyyyy, the kids sent the seat over today with the newly washed cover but I can't figure out how to do the straps! Whew!! I've looked for instructions online but to no avail. Soooo, hopefully I can figure it out eventually.
I never ceased to be amazed how babies can be so happy when they've just done an awesome pooey. They must feel relief? *grin*

Here is a quick and easy recipe that I fixed last week for our ladies' meeting. Everyone loved it, wanted the recipe and then couldn't believe how easy it was to fix. I had fixed just the meatballs before but I thought adding the stirfry veggies sounded good, as well as putting it over rice and it was! :0)

Sweet and Sour Meatballs and Rice

1 bag of frozen meatballs
3/4 of a large jar of mild salsa
1 jar of apricot preserves
1 bag of stirfry vegetables
3 cups of cooked rice
Salt to taste

Put meatballs, salsa, and preserves in a large kettle. Cook until bubbly and meatballs are cooked through. Add the vegetables. Let cook until tender and cooked through.
Serve the meatballs, sauce and vegetables over the cooked rice. It is so delicious!!

Thank you, Mrs. NB! I'm trying to be patient and remind myself that it is best if I take it off SLOWLY. *sigh*
You are welcome for the recipe! I have a couple more that I want to share when I have more time! They are both simple and easy! My favorite kind! :-)
