Do you have a need to celebrate?

Welllll....today is NATIONAL JUNK FOOD DAY!!!
I will not be celebrating because today is weigh-in day and I lost another pound! That's 10lbs. total!! BUT after I lose another 5lbs. I am going to celebrate by having either a junk food day OR a pig-out day! Well, not toooo big of a pig-out day because I don't like that overly-stuffed feeling but I'm going to do some serious eathing! "Eathing"???? Well, as soon as I get done "lisping"! Sheesh!

What is your favorite junk food? Mine has to be Original Doritos. Oh my! I looooove them! Second would have to be pizza. Is pizza a junk food? Hmmm....I'm not sure. Third? Cheeseburgers! Juicy cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and Miracle Whip!!! *sigh* I do love food....

Sooooo, I've been craving BACON. Ilooooove bacon! So, this morning I broiled bacon and had two eggs and a piece of toast. Bacon and eggs aren't fattening if you fix the bacon fairly crisp, pat it with a paper towel to get the excess drippings off and do the same with the eggs and lightly butter your toast. I can't handle dry toast. It has to have some butter on it. Anywayyyy.....it was all very scrumptious AND satisfying!

I don't know if I mentioned this on my blog or not but a few weeks ago, I was listening to a talk-radio program and they were talking about weird diets. One of the weird diets was the Chewing Diet. The premise of this diet was that you are to chew your food at least thirty times before swallowing. This would mean that you would eat more slowly, your digestion and elimination would improve and you would feel full sooner. Well, being one who tends to eat too fast anyway, I thought I would give it a try. Though I don't actually chew my food thirty times EVERY time, I do chew it at least twenty times and I actually TASTE my food now. AND it is much more satisfying. So incorporating some of the suggestions has really helped me.

Sooooooo, my 10lb. weight loss means that I am no longer lugging around the equivalent of a 10 lb. bag of potatoes with me all of the time any longer! It really helps me to visualize these things!

You go girl!!!!

So, do you ever watch the show, Ruby? She was somewhere around 500 pounds and she is down to about 350 now. Anyway, she is a southern girl and is a delight to watch. The other day her personal trainer said that something she was about to do would be "a piece of cake." She immediately chimed in (laughing), "Who says 'Piece of cake' to someone on a diet? Your post about weight loss and junk food made me think about that moment. You crack me up!

Too bad I didn't know about Junk Food Day before eating junk food (KFC) yesterday!! I try not to eat out two days in a row....most of the time.

Thanks, Mrs. NB! No, I haven't seen it but I'll have to look for it! Well, nothing to do with losing weight is a "piece of cake", in my humble opinion! *smile*
I think KFC's tender roast chicken is pretty healthy. At least I got one Saturday hoping it would be!! *smile* I'll have to check that out to make sure!

I'm so proud of you!!! The only problem I have with picturing you losing a 10 lb. bag of potatoes is that now I want fried potatoes with onions and LOADS of salt & pepper.

BTW my favorite junk food??? CHOCOLATE!!!

My favorite junk fodd is "All Of The Above".

Am I right that you fry your eggs fairly crisp and pat them with a paper towel to get off the excess drippings off, like you do your bacon? I've never had a crisp egg.

Thanks, Theresa! Mmmmm...the fried potatoes sound so goood! And I would definitely take those over the chocolate! :-)
Yes, I know what you mean, Sir, about all of the above!
No, the bacon is crisp, not the eggs. I don't like crisp eggs! :-0
