Snow!

Here are two more pictures of the snow we had last Thursday! We were only supposed to get a passing flurry or two but it ended up snowing most of the day and school was canceled on Friday! We got about 2-3 inches of the beautifiul white fluffiness! The first picture was the view out my kitchen window and the other one was the view out my backdoor.

I know we're not suppose to be jealous, but I can't help it...just a little. The pictures make me want to curl up under a warm blanket, with a good book, sitting by a fire that's glowing in the fireplace! AND...a cup of hot chocolate. Thank you for sharing these with me. I'll try to not be too jealous. :)

Hi Sis. Elms....that IS one thing that I do love about the winter months: they make home feel so warm and snug and inviting. And what you mentioned above...the fire, hot chocolate and reading a good book...is just what Ed and I have been doing alot of this winter. But I'll be honest and say that with my aching body I've thought of trying to find a kind family out west that would let me come live with them for the remainder of the winter so I could toast my bones in the warmth and sunshine. *smile*

Oh I'm completely jealous! We got an inch yesterday morning and it was gone by the time I got home from work. :(

I love the little candle light in your window. That is such a wonderful tradition and one that my husband and I used to do but haven't in awhile. I'll have to dig those back out. They're so cozy and welcoming. You don't see them that often on the West Coast.

Hi castocreations! I have candles in all of my windows but if I don't manage to get them all turned on, I always turn on the one in my kitchen window....for some reason! *Smile* Thanks for stopping by! And, yes, I am so thankful for the snow. I just love it!

Jewel, I would tell you to come to Texas, but right now it is SO COLD! It wouldn't help your bones at all, but you would be more than welcome to visit sometime. :) The thing about where I live is it gets cold enough to snow, and sometimes I think it gets TOO COLD to SNOW! So, we just don't get enough! I wonder at times if the beautiful fluffy snowflakes get frozen in the air and stay there! LOL! Enjoy the beauty and your cozy home.
