Finally!! The sun showed it's lovely face yesterday and today! What a difference some sunshine makes!
Below are two pictures of the hanging baskets Ed got me for Mother's Day. They are blooming like crazy, as you can see. They are New Guinea Impatiens and I love them!
While everyone around is has been mowing their lawns for the past two days, we are unable to because beneath the tall grass lays a swamp! :-/ It is like this every spring, it seems. We usually don't get the entire lawn mowed until the middle of June! Seriously!
But Ed did get most of it mowed last week, for the first time this year. I think the place looks pretty good! :-) I took these while we were taking Jaylon for a walk one morning OR maybe he was taking US for a walk....not really sure sometimes! :-)
Below is another picture I took while we were on our walk. I just thought it was a pretty scene! :-)

Well, that's about all I've got. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed a bit early on this Saturday night! I've had a full day! :-) I hope the sun is shining where you are!
A sharing of the goings-on in my life while living in our little valley which is located in the beautiful Hocking Hills of Southeastern Ohio!

Happy Monday.......
.......even if it is still rainy, cold and dreary here in SE Ohio. At least the weather is being consistent, which is more than I can say for ME and blogging.
I hadn't thought about how difficult it might be for me to get back into the habit of blogging once I hadn't blogged for such a long time!
BUT......do you know what? There is life beyond blogging. Yes, there is. :-)
I started blogging when I was unable to get out much.....back when I began having difficulty with my back and hips. Blogging kind of became my social life.
I do enjoy going back and reading what I blogged about and, actually, do want to continue blogging. I am determined to get back into the swing of things here!

Jaylon is now 2yrs. 5mos. old Almost 2 1/2!!! AND he still isn't talking much! Drat! He says Dada, Mama, Pawpaw, Mawmaw, Papa, Beh-Beh (that's me!), dog, cat, pop, amen, okay, meow, moo, woof-woof, baaaaa, okay. :-)
Everyone keeps telling me to just be patient. He will talk and, probably, once he starts, it will be in sentences! :-)
We do manage to communicate somehow. He is soooo smart. He knows EVERYTHING we tell him or are talking about! :-)
Oh, and by the way......I just happen to have a picture or 3000 to share.....just in case you might like to see what the little guy is looking like! :-)
Here's Jaylon and Grandpa reading one of his Thomas the Train books:
He's learning the fine art of CLIMBING! :-0

AND on a completely different note......this is what I made for Ed on Mother's Day:
Yes, you read that correctly! :-) It's a Peach Upside Down Cake. And it was delicious!
Ed had already taken me out for a delicious steak dinner the previous Sunday, after church, because all of the restaurants are so busy on Mother's Day, so we had a quiet dinner here at home.

Well, I am going to post this before I get busy with something here at home and don't have time to finish it!
